FEBRUARY 1ST, 2024: JENNIFER'S BODY (2009)

Jennifer's Body is a 2009 American horror film written by Diablo Cody and directed by Karyn Kusama. Megan Fox stars in the titular role alongside Amanda Seyfried, with Johnny Simmons, J. K. Simmons, Amy Sedaris, and Adam Brody in supporting roles. The film follows a ritually sacrificed, then demonically possessed high school student who kills her male classmates and devours their flesh in order to survive. All the while, her childhood best friend Needy strives to end Jennifer's killing spree.

I so desperately wanted to see Jennifer's Body back in high school, even before my love of both horror movies and hot babes had been ingrained into my personality. Though I never ended up watching it in theaters, my teenage curiosity should have been a clear sign of things to come. I did finally see Jennifer's Body a few years ago, but I don't remember it well. I'm not sure if that's due to my concussion last year or simply the fact that I don't always pay attention, but either way I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to watch with fresh eyes.
